Yorkton is Riderville!

Yorkton is Riderville!

May 3rd to 8th, we saw Yorkton go green. And when we say “go green”, we’re not talking about saving the planet, we’re talking literally! Store windows were painted, cars were decaled, the City of Yorkton even painted Roughrider logo’s on the streets!

Why? Because Yorkton is Riderville!

And here at McKenzie’s, we’ve got that Rider Pride. We know our customer’s love the Rider’s as much as we do, and we love to make our customer’s happy. We’ve given away an autographed John Chick jersey to Terry Milan, of Yorkton, back in November, and in March we gave a pair of Roughrider season tickets to Brian and Barb Decker, of Spy Hill.

This past Saturday we spent the morning gearing up for the “Rider Paride”. We decked out our green 06 King Ranch with enough balloons to carry away our Sales Manager, Jamie. The whole city was out and about cruising Broadway, checking out the floats, green shirts, green hair, green dogs and horses in tow! We were smack dab in the middle of it all, cheering away!

Check out some pictures of the parade, not even the weather could slow us down.

Community involvement is a big thing for us. We have a lot of plans for the future, so stay tuned and we’ll be sure to keep you on the up and up of all of Yorkton’s community events! We’ll be at the Yorkton Regional High School’s “Show ‘N’ Shine”, May 27th, as well as the Country Fair parade, July 10th. We hope to see you there!

Douglas and Tyrell where a little shy but very excited about their gifts. Christina was very appreciative and was very excited to have what it takes for a Happy Holidays

A little under 2 weeks ago the team at Regina’s McKenzie Sales & Leasing posted on our blog about pitching in to help this Christmas. They wanted to ensure a bountiful Yuletide for a Regina family through the Salvation Army’s Adopt a Family for Christmas program.

When Christina, Douglas and Tyrell came in the smiles on their faces made it more then worth the effort. We had a drop box for toys, canned goods and clothes that filled up with holiday cheer. We we’re so happy to be able to help out and we’re already looking forward to making next year better! If there’s anyone, any business or group that would like to participate next year please visit the Salvation Army Ministry’s website by clicking here. Of course you can always swing by McKenzie’s next year where we’ll have the drop box set up for another family.

We hope everyone has the ingredients they need for a safe and happy holidays. From the team at Regina’s McKenzie Sales & Leasing Merry Christmas!

Salvation Army Adopt a Family for Christmas – McKenzie’s Regina

Salvation Army Adopt a Family for Christmas – McKenzie’s Regina

In the spirit of Christmas the team here at McKenzie ‘s in Regina has decided to pitch in and help a needy family celebrate and enjoy a bountiful Yuletide. The staff members at Regina are sponsoring a family through The Salvation Army’s Adopt A Family for Christmas program.

Adopt-a-Family is a program that matches generous people with a family in need that has come to The Salvation Army for help at Christmas time. The adopters purchase toys for the children, as well as provide for the families Christmas dinner.

For more information on the program please visit the Salvation Army Ministry of Hope Regina website http://www.salvationarmy.org/can/www_can_havenofhopeministries.nsf

This year our Adopt-A-Family is a single parent family: Christina and her 2 boys, Douglas who is 11 years old and Tyrell who is four years old. We will be meeting with our family prior to Christmas to deliver their gifts and holiday dinner. We hope to be taking a lot of photos of the event and will update our facebook page to share with our friends and fans.

Should anyone want to help out, you can stop by the McKenzie Store in Regina, 178 Albert Street, where we will have a collection box set up for appropriate toys and clothing as well as canned goods. Click here for directions.

We are looking forward to meeting our family and presenting them with what will hopefully be the ingredients for a very Merry Christmas

Thank you from the Staff at McKenzie Sales and Leasing in Regina
